SOUGHTThe Antwerp police distribute surveillance images of a young man who stabbed another man in the shoulder. That happened on September 18, around 6:30 am in the center of Antwerp. The victim was unable to work for two weeks due to the stabbing.

It is September 18, a drizzly Monday. Around 6.30 am there is a commotion at the entrance of the cinema complex in Anneessensstraat in Antwerp. Suddenly a man wearing dark trousers and a vest walks away. He just stabbed another man in the left shoulder.

The victim pursues the perpetrator as far as Opera Square, but then returns to the scene of the incident. The suspect continues to the Teniersplaats. He walks to the Ossenmarkt via Kipdorpvest and the Sint-Jacobsmarkt. There he turns into Pieter van Hobokenstraat, where investigators can spot him on the surveillance images for the last time. Police would like to identify the man.

The police are also looking for some witnesses. For example, there is a woman who can be seen with the suspect on surveillance images at the Diamant pre-metro station around 5.40 am. In the meantime, the two talk and walk to the entrance hall of Antwerp Central Station. They say goodbye to each other on the escalators towards the platforms.

The police are also looking for a man wearing a blue T-shirt. For the facts, he parks his bicycle at the Betcenter. He was hanging around the neighborhood during the stabbing. After the stabbing, he picks up his bicycle and leaves.

And then the police are looking for two more men with a bright yellow and dark jacket. The two chase the suspect after the stabbing on an electric scooter.
