Man on the run after violent Cruquius home invasion, resident injured

A Marktplaats deal in Cruquius resulted in a home robbery tonight. That happened around 7.15 pm in a house on the Bennebroekerdijk. Violence was used during the robbery, which injured the resident.

The injuries are not too bad, a police spokesperson told NH Nieuws. “The victim was checked by ambulance personnel, but did not have to be taken to hospital.”

One of the two suspects has now been arrested, the police confirm. This reportedly happened in the home where the robbery had taken place, because the suspect himself was injured during the robbery. As a result, he would not have been able to flee. The police cannot confirm that reading at this time.

A second suspect quickly escaped and is still on the run, police said. The police are looking for him on the ground and from the air, with a police helicopter. Via Burgernet is called upon to look out for him, but not to approach him yourself.
