Alert passers-by noticed an abandoned bicycle along the cycle path this morning and notified AZ Groeninge employees. They found the victim next to the path. The woman was taken to hospital for treatment.
Investigating judge ordered
Thanks to the quick action of the police in the VLAS zone, a suspect was arrested shortly afterwards. It concerns a 25-year-old man from Brussels. The public prosecutor’s office has charged the investigating judge with rape and violation of sexual integrity.
