A man died on Monday afternoon on the Wellenseind (N269) near Lage Mierde. Police say the man was crossing the road when he was hit by a car.
The condition of the driver of the car is not yet known by the police. The car would have been badly damaged.
The accident happened around 3:30 am. Emergency services are present and the area has been closed off.
