A man died in Hooge Zwaluwe on Thursday afternoon when he drove a scooter into the water. Emergency services were present with a lot of equipment, including a trauma helicopter. The accident happened around 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
According to a 112 correspondent, a witness tried to get the man out of the water, but was unable to. According to a police spokesperson, the man left the road for medical reasons.
