Because, according to the police, the man ‘used threatening language’ around the station in Hoorn, a train was temporarily stopped on the platform and checked. When it turned out that the suspect was not on board, the train was able to continue its journey.
Through a Burgernet report the police warned bystanders about a man, approximately 40 to 50 years old, with slicked back hair, who was moving around on a bicycle. A police helicopter was also used in the search.
Not much later, the man was arrested in the Juliana Park, about five kilometers from the station. A spokesperson said he will be taken to the police station to determine his identity. The man will then be interrogated.
