“The fire itself was not too bad,” says a spokesperson for the Security Region. “But there was a lot of smoke in the home, because all windows were closed. The fire brigade used fans to ventilate the house.”
When the fire brigade arrived, a person was present in the home. “That is also the one who was arrested by the police,” says the spokesperson. “He was also preventively checked in the ambulance because of the smoke.”
Nobody was injured in the fire. The fire did not cause much damage. “The damage in the house will be mainly caused by the smoke. There is not much water damage,” said the spokesperson.

It is not clear whether the man who has been arrested is also the resident of the house. The police informed NH that the man is being suspected of arson. It is not yet clear what the precise cause of the fire is. “The house is closed off and a crime scene. Tomorrow we will investigate the cause at the crime scene,” says a police spokesperson.
