The police are looking for two young men who seriously assaulted a then 55-year-old man on Carnival Friday on Samuel Morsestraat in Den Bosch. The victim suffered a head wound, concussion and a broken leg.

In addition, a jaw and an ankle were bruised and the man had problems with his diaphragm. Investigation has shown that the victim was hit with a nitrous oxide cylinder during the assault on February 28. He was also stepped on.

According to a witness, before he was assaulted, the victim approached the two men because they were vandalizing cars. This did not go down well with the pair, so they started hitting and kicking the victim. The man fell to the ground injured and became unconscious.

Oeteldonk coats
The suspects ran off with both something in their hands. Not much later, a duo matching the witness’s description appeared at a pizzeria further away. They wore Oeteldonk jackets with some emblems on them, according to the witness.

The suspects do not have to come from Den Bosch themselves, says Opsporing Verzocht. There is a chance that they came to Den Bosch to celebrate carnival.

Filmed at a pizzeria
One of the men ordered two energy drinks from the pizzeria and then went outside again, where the second man was waiting for him. The images taken outside show that the young men are carrying a nitrous oxide cylinder.

The perpetrators of the assault also had such a cylinder with them. They also allegedly hit the victim with that object, among other things. The second object that the men have with them appears to be the same cylinder, but still in its packaging.

The police are asking people who have seen something or know more about the men to report to Investigation Requested. Even if the laughing gas cylinders or the carnival jackets look familiar to someone.
