The 54-year-old man who was arrested on Monday after the collision in which a 79-year-old woman was killed in Schijndel was released again. The police announced this on Thursday. The man remains a suspect.

The arrested woman was already released on Tuesday, because the police are not assuming that she was in the car during the accident. The 54-year-old woman is no longer a suspect.

For the man, according to the police, the suspected driver, there are no more grounds in the investigation to hold him any longer. He must answer to the judge later.

Victim was on vacation
The fatal accident happened in the night from Sunday to Monday at a campsite on the Landingsweg in Schijndel. The victim from Rijnsburg in South Holland was on vacation there with her husband.

When she went to walk her dog around midnight, she was hit. Her husband found her next to the road a few hours later.

At a house, near the accident, the police arrested the man and the woman on Monday during the day.
