A 46-year-old man from Breda has stalked a woman from Made for almost four months. The man followed her, drove through her street, sent her many messages and called her dozens of times. He also placed a GPS tracker under her car twice. From the police judge in Breda, the man gave a community service and a conditional prison sentence on Monday. He must also be treated.
Unfortunately, the Bredanaar himself had not come to court to explain his ‘worrying and idiotic behavior’, as the public prosecutor described it. He has known everything and says he has found someone who guides him. But the various authorities are worried, such as the probation service, victim support and justice. The chance of repetition is high and that is why the man was banned from contact, he must seek help and he also received a month in prison, which he will have to sit out if he goes wrong again.
The man from Breda and the woman from Made got to know each other through the DatingApp Lexa. When the woman finished it in February 2024, he continued to bother her.

Contact ban
The police judge immediately ruled: the Bredanaar is being supervised and must report to the probation service. He is no longer allowed to contact the woman from Made and must be treated. The man is said to have problems because of his adoption and had some kind of mother feelings for the woman from Made. That would also have been difficult for her to let her go.
The police judge ruled that the ‘vulnerable man’ cannot continue with his life without help because of his ‘damn difficult behavior’, despite the fact that the man himself thinks he is fine. In addition to that mandatory treatment and the contact ban, the man also received a 150 -hour community service and he has to pay his ex more than 1100 euros compensation.
