A 36-year-old man died in a traffic accident on the Uniebrug on the border of Nieuwpoort and Middelkerke in West Flanders on Monday afternoon. A truck loaded with gravel tipped over on the slope of the bridge and landed on the van of the man in his thirties when it came from the opposite direction. All help came too late for him.
