The police received a report around 1.30 am that a man had died. When the police went to look at the house on the corner of Czarinastraat and Hogendijk, they found the man’s lifeless body. It turned out to be a 35-year-old Venezuelan who had been living in the Netherlands for a long time, but had only just moved into the house.
According to police, the man spoke only English and Spanish and regularly performed as a drag queen.
Due to the many questions surrounding this case, the police have deployed a Large-Scale Investigation team. The police assume that the man was violently killed between 8:30 PM on Friday and 1:30 AM on Sunday. The investigation is currently ongoing and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
