A man (33) was homophobically insulted by strangers in Baumschulenweg and physically attacked and injured twice. State security is investigating.

The incident happened around 7 p.m., according to police. Accordingly, a 33-year-old said he had been homophobically insulted by two men on an S2 train. He had previously approached one of the suspects because he had filmed him.

At Baumschulenweg station, he and two friends got off the train. The unknown initially removed in a different direction. But they reappeared a little later when the 33-year-old was waiting at a bus stop. The attackers are said to have driven past the group of friends with an e-scooter and slapped the 33-year-old.

Shortly thereafter, the two strangers are said to have returned, kicked and hit the injured person and used pepper spray against him, according to the police. One of the suspects is said to have carried brass knuckles but did not use them.

The police, alerted by two other witnesses, found the e-scooter in the area. However, the search for the men was unsuccessful. The 33-year-old suffered abrasions on one hand and swelling on his face.
