Bloody bottle attack at Kottbusser Tor!
A 30-year-old man is said to have attacked two men (36, 44) with a broken bottle in front of a late-night shop on Adalbertstrasse on Friday night. The 36-year-old suffered a deep cut on his arm. The two previously wanted to sell him a street newspaper. The perpetrator is said to have accused the two of having stolen his mobile phone. According to the police, after the bottle attack, he stole the older of the two medicines from a bag.
The man resisted the arrest so violently that it took great effort to bring him to the ground and tie him up. Two women and a man (37) showed solidarity with the attacker. A police officer had to use tear gas to hold off the group.
The group was sent off, the 30-year-old was taken into police custody to be identified and was handed over to the criminal police. A breath alcohol test showed about 0.2 per thousand. The man known to the police is to be brought before a magistrate on Friday.
