During a stabbing in a business premises of a tire trade in Helmond, a 27-year-old man from Breda was put in his leg on Monday afternoon. A fight with a 22-year-old man from Nederweert preceded the stabbing on the 1st Hogedijk, the police reported on Tuesday.
Why the two men got into a fight is not clear. They are not acquaintances of each other, the police said. In the fight, the 22-year-old man from Nederweert stuck the victim in his leg with a sharp object. The Bredanaar was slightly injured as a result. He was treated by a doctor and did not have to go to the hospital.
The police immediately approached the stabbing and arrested the suspect. Agents recorded statements from witnesses and brought the man to the police station. He is still stuck for that interrogation on Tuesday.
