Residents of Bergen op Zoom have recently become victims of rogue unblocking companies or plumbers several times. For example, they unexpectedly had to pay a much higher bill, while the problem was often still unresolved. The municipality is now warning everyone to be careful with who you do business with.
In many cases, the defrauded customers had to pay more than a thousand euros instead of a few hundred euros.
“Searching on the internet does not always yield the most expert or cheapest company. It is advertised with low start-up costs, but in the end residents are presented with a very high bill and the problem is often not solved,” reports the municipality of Bergen op Zoom.

It is therefore advisable to always approach entrepreneurs via their own website or direct telephone number. “The municipality can also provide this service.”
