Who does he look like? Who wanted him at Roma? What is its main quality? These are the questions, to be honest a little obvious if not banal, that accompanied Malen’s arrival in the capital. Maybe right, legitimate, but which ended up silencing the – in cases like these – louder and somewhat cumbersome question: but where was it until yesterday? And is it possible that no one had noticed the extraordinary qualities of this center forward? If you think about it, many clubs, not only in Italy but also abroad, desperately searched for a striker with his characteristics in January: and this was the biggest “sin” of Milan and Juve, who ended up paying for their inattention in the worst way, with exclusion from the Champions League race, with a very heavy economic and prestige price to pay.
