Majority of the House wants a quick approach to the road from Drenthe to Twente

Earlier today, the municipalities of Hoogeveen, De Wolden and six municipalities in Overijssel submitted a petition to Minister Mark Harbers of Infrastructure and Water Management, reports RTV East† In addition to the N36, they are also committed to a safer N48, which starts at Hoogeveen and connects to the N36 at Ommen. This route is the most important connection between Drenthe and Twente, but according to the petitioners, the road no longer meets the requirements of the time.
