Thousands of Flemings who have solar panels installed in the coming weeks are threatening to get caught in addition to the Flemish premium of 2022 due to the large shortage of inverters. These convert the direct current from solar panels into electricity that is suitable for use. In many cases, the installation will not be completed and inspected until 2023, which can save up to 750 euros in premium. “The regulations are clear: the inspection date is decisive”, says Flemish Energy Minister Zuhal Demir (N-VA).
