A warehouse is on fire at the Giestee in Dalen. The shed belongs to a thatched house in the village. Two victims are being treated in the ambulance.
Several fire brigades from Zwinderen, Emmen, Coevorden, Hoogeveen and De Wijk have been called to help extinguish the fire.
The fire has now spread and the warehouse is considered lost. The fire brigade is working to save the farm. “To do this, they try to make a separation in the reeds, so that a kind of stop line is created and the fire does not continue from that point,” says photographer Herman van Oost, who is on site.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
