Major alarm about chewing bones for dogs that can cause ‘werewolf syndrome’

The Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) warns against chewing bones that could cause serious neurological abnormalities in dogs, such as ‘werewolf syndrome’. That can even be fatal. Cases have already been reported in several European countries. The Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (FAVV) is also further monitoring the situation in our country.
