Maikel-Owen van Deest from Wildervank succeeds Sievert Uneken as promotion manager (formerly events director) of Bedrijven Investmentzone (BIZ) Centrum Veendam.
The BIZ Centrum Veendam was founded in June 2020 with the aim of increasing the attractiveness and economic functioning of the center and its entrepreneurs. These activities are laid down in a multi-year program 2020-2024.
The 49-year-old Van Deest was already involved on the events committee of BIZ center Veendam in the organization of Lutje Passion, Sinterklaas activities in the center and a Dickens Festival. He is also market master of the Koningsmarkt.
Van Deest will succeed Uneken, who resigned from his position on September 1, as of November 1. Van Deest will combine this job with his job as a senior account manager at a security company.
