CD&V sees itself – together with ‘sister party’ Les Engagés – as the best alternative to Vivaldi II or “organized chaos”. CD&V chairman Sammy Mahdi said this at the CD&V New Year’s reception in Brussels. According to Mahdi, a strong center is needed between the extremes and his party is the best guarantee for “a decent life in a decent country”.
