Chess star Magnus Carlsen recently married. Now the five -time world champion spoke throughout the day – and became emotional.
Magnus Carlsen is a chess superstar and has been able to crown the world champion five times. The Norwegian most recently played for FC St. Pauli in the Bundesliga (Read more about the debut here). Apart from the sporty, he made headlines with his dream wedding with his partner Ella Victoria Malone. The two gave themselves the yes in the Holmenkollen chapel in Oslo at the beginning of the year and shone overjoyed, as photos of the couple showed. Now Carlsen spoke about his wedding.
He said in a video interview with “Gambling Insider:” The wedding was great fun. There was so much love of everyone. To be honest, it was the best weekend of my life so far. After that I no longer had the opportunity to relax. There was a lot to travel and do a lot, but it feels really good. “
At the wedding, Malone wore a white silk dress with elements made of lace on the cleavage and on the arms and on the neck. She had tied her hair back to a kind of bun in the middle parting. Carlsen wore a black suit, a black fly and a white shirt.
Carlsen’s friend, the sports commentator Sverre Krogh Sundbö, told the Norwegian public service broadcaster NRK after the wedding ceremony: “A very nice ceremony.”
Ella Victoria Malone, like Carlsen, comes from Oslo and is not an unknown in the chax scene. She regularly accompanies the 34-year-old to tournaments around the world. In May of last year, she spoke to the Norwegian broadcaster TV2 about this experience: “Sometimes it is difficult to accompany him at these tournaments, but I do it because I want to be a good friend and support him.”
