A magnet fisherman fished a grenade out of the water at the Geuzenkade in Amsterdam this afternoon.
The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service of Defense (EOD) has confirmed after investigation that it is probably ‘an old hand grenade’. According to a spokesperson for the police, the explosive is ‘detonated by the EOD in a safe place in the western port area’.
