Madonna was reportedly revived with injection

After Madonna was admitted to the intensive care unit unconscious a few weeks ago, new speculation about the condition of the “Queen of Pop” is now emerging. The singer is said to have been administered naloxone, which heroin addicts, among other things, get when they overdose, but is also used to treat septic shock. The drug stabilizes blood pressure if it drops to a dangerously low level.

Madonna was believed to be in life-threatening condition

According to the US tabloid magazine “RadarOnline”, Madonna was being injected with the drug when she was found unconscious on June 24. One of her assistants discovered her in her room. After the “Lucky Star” singer did not respond to any other measures, she was injected with naloxone, which would have been tantamount to resuscitation. Naloxone belongs to the group of so-called opiate antagonists and is used, for example, in the event of respiratory arrest. Madonna was subsequently taken to the emergency room, where she later recovered.

Officials say Madonna contracted a bacterial infection while preparing for her “Celebration” tour. Therefore, Madonna Louise Ciccone, the full name of the artist, would have suffered septic shock. Drugs, as the use of naloxone could also suggest, are said not to have been involved. However, her condition was so critical that her family had already prepared for the worst.

Madonna’s management did not comment on the use of the life-saving injection. However, Guy Oseary, Madonna’s personal manager, announced on Twitter that the planned world tour may have to be postponed. The good news: the singer has already left the hospital and is feeling better.

On her “Celebration” tour, Madonna wanted to play four concerts in Germany: on November 15th and 16th. in Cologne (Lanxess Arena) and on November 28th and 29th. in Berlin (Mercedes Benz Arena). It is not yet known when the new dates will take place. Tickets are still over Eventim and ticketmaster available.
