At the start of 2026, Dortmund are having a long time with Eintracht. The game starts optimally for BVB. But then things get heated at times.

Borussia Dortmund prevented a false start to 2026 with a goal in injury time and saved a 3.3 (1:1) draw at Eintracht Frankfurt. Maximilian Beier (10th) and Felix Nmecha (68th) gave the guests the lead twice, but Eintracht came back through Can Uzun (22nd / foul penalty) and Younes Ebnoutalib (71st). Ex-Dortmund substitute Mo Dahoud (90th + 2) set the course for a Frankfurt victory before Carney Chukwuemeka saved BVB (90.+5).

Nevertheless, leaders FC Bayern could move ahead of second-placed Dortmund (now 33 points) to eleven points with a win on Sunday against VfL Wolfsburg.
