Maarten van Rossem was very reluctantly sitting at the talk show table of HLF8 yesterday. He came there to promote his new theater tour, but was really not interested at all.
According to Johan Derksen (73), it is a bit of the shame of talk show land: HLF8. According to the football analyst, you absolutely do not want to be seen there. Yet his peer Maarten van Rossem (78) was prominent at the table there yesterday. The jury member of De Slimste Mens noted that he actually did not feel like it at all.
Maarten reluctantly
Maarten absolutely did not enjoy his visit to HLF8. “I like theatre. Much more fun than TV, of course. Here, of course, it’s a relatively limited environment that we have, with all those lamps and stuff and all that shifting around the table. The theater is actually really nice.”
Table lady Antoinnette Scheulderman, the lover of Gijp millionaire Michel van Egmond, replied: “You don’t like sitting here at the table, you say, but you are there.”
Top Desire
Maarten: “Well, this is not the top desire of recent years to sit here, let’s make that clear.”
Antoinenette: “But why are you doing that at your age?”
Maarten: “To advertise my theater tour.”
Always with NRC
Presenter Leonie ter Braak found it remarkable that Maarten came to the studio with the NRC papers. “What I find a remarkable detail is that the newspaper, the NRC, is always with me.”
Maarten: “Yes, I am always terrified that something will happen that will leave me with nothing to do for a long time”
Yes No
At the end of the broadcast, Maarten took part in the yes/no program section, in which guests can only answer yes and no. Normally they have to walk to the intended chair, but an exception was made for Maarten.
Leonie: “We’re going to do yes/no. You have a bit of mobility, so we’re not going to sit in those chairs, so we’re having a good time here at the table.”
Later in the evening Maarten was also in the talk show Op1.
