It disturbs Guido den Aantrekker immensely that Maarten van Rossem said on Monday evening in De Slimste Mens that Johnny Depp may be shot dead as far as he is concerned. He is no longer interested in the frequent news about Johnny’s conflict with his ex-lover Amber Heard.
Dirty teeth
You can’t say something like that on television, Guido says in Show news. “He went wild on national TV at De Slimste Mens. We are of course used to him that he does not mince his words. In my opinion, he should perhaps do that more often, also in terms of his teeth. In any case, he very much crossed a line.”
According to Guido, what Maarten does is unprecedented. “I actually find it quite shocking when we consider that we are all now trying to make that society a bit more friendly, huh. Maarten is quite in decline, he thinks. “He always sits there with a grumpy face. We can also say: ‘Yes, Van Rossem, you don’t look good, you look smutty, go and do something about yourself.’ That wouldn’t be nice either.”

KRO-NCRV has deliberately chosen not to cut the Johnny Depp statements from the editing. “With an extreme example, Maarten made it clear that he is not interested, that he would like a ‘delete button’ in his head to immediately forget about this kind of news about famous people,” explains the broadcaster.
“His statement should therefore in no way be interpreted as a literal death wish in this context.”
reprehensible
Guido does not agree with that reaction. “If you really say that someone should be shot and that those stupid geese will also laugh about it… I think it’s reprehensible!”
What does Maarten think? “It is normal rumor around the brand. He likes that.”
