Lukas Hradecky demands an attitude movement in Huuhkaji: “We messed this up ourselves”

Finland still has a chance to make it to the finals of the European Championship in Germany.

Captain Lukas Hradecky felt responsible.

He was the first to give a maritime explanation for the Kazakhstan disaster.

– I can’t show the screw that should be tightened. This gang has won these games the same way we’re losing now, Hradecky began.

– You can’t throw someone under the bus here. We probably haven’t lost three matches in a row since (Hans) Backen during.

The Swedish coach was fired from the Finnish national team in December 2016. It’s been almost seven years since then.

That time has passed Markku Kanervan under and it forms the most successful season of Huuhkajie.

But is it over yet?

– At least these losses don’t help. But this process also has to go through. Good teams emerge from these.

“We didn’t deserve support”

Finland dominated the opening period of the Kazakhstan match to their heart’s content. After that, however, the game of the white shirts became passive, and the guy got through with two special situation goals.

At the same time, Huuhkajie’s goal of reaching the EC final tournament through their group ended in disappointment.

– We didn’t deserve that support today, Hradecky pointed to the sold-out Olympic Stadium.

– We did this job ourselves. Now we just have to dig ourselves up, because we still have a way to get to the Games.

That way will have to wait in March, when Finland participates in the EC further qualification played under cup rules.

It is certain that the race pass will not come off from there either, if the game performance remains like this.

Dirty laundry is washed

A football match lasts 90 minutes even in its basic form. Huhkaki’s feet started to feel heavy after more than an hour.

In the end, with the help of the var videos, the convicted tough guy derailed the qualifying race once and for all.

– There should have been more grit to turn the situation around, but in the end we didn’t deserve that second goal.

It is telling that Pohjoikaarre, who had been supporting the team for a long time, started to cheer for themselves at the end. At the club team level, it often predicts a change of coach.

Finland doesn’t seem to be able to afford it – and doesn’t really want to either.

– We really have a lot to improve. That game won’t make it to the Games, then anyone came against me in the spring, Hradecky admitted.

Dirty laundry is washed within the team. The doors of the home nest of the hummingbirds remain firmly ajar from outsiders.

– Now we have to self-critically analyze, but we don’t do it through the media.

“Up from the mud”

Hradecky emphasized that even a draw would not have been enough for Finland. Both Finland and, very likely, Kazakhstan will try with new luck to acquire an EC passport in March.

– We have to dig out of this mud. You can’t win two games with just jam.

Finland will play two more matches in this actual EC qualification. The latter of them (San Marino away) is not suitable even for a loose practice.

However, it is during them that the Huuhkaji have to get their rows in order.

– It would be nice to refuel with a little positive energy. In the spring, you have to take two wins in a row. It doesn’t matter who they come up against – tough countries, though.

– I can promise that we will try to assemble this team in as good shape as possible.
