Terminated contract in Saudi Arabia

After a year and a half, Luiz Felipe returns to Europe. The 27-year-old central defender, who joined Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia at the deadline in summer 2023, is moving to France to Olympique Marseille. According to media reports, he previously terminated his contract and is therefore joining OM on a free transfer.
At Marseille, Luiz Felipe is the first signing this winter. This is the defensive man’s fourth stop in Europe; he previously played in Italy for Lazio Rome, where he played 144 games, the most in his career so far, and the US Salernitana. In Spain he also worked for Betis Sevilla before Al-Ittihad paid 22 million euros for a transfer.
