Luis Suárez moves to Club Nacional – MLS clubs get nothing

Officially

The future of the last clubless Luis Suárez (35) is clear. Suárez recently confirmed that, ignoring rumors of MLS involvement with LAFC, a return to his youth club Club Nacional in Uruguay is imminent. Now the former Barcelona professional reported completion himself. The change is official.

The attacker recently confirmed in an interview with the radio station “Sport 890” that he had “five or six” offers from the MLS after his contract with Atlético Madrid expired. Among other things, he was associated with DC United, recently coached by ex-professional Wayne Rooney. “The market in the MLS is very complex. Some clubs want you but don’t have spaces available and therefore it would have to be in January. Other clubs want you now, but I have to consider whether they have a chance of qualifying for the playoffs,” said Suárez, looking ahead to the World Cup starting in November.

Nacional, where he took his first professional steps, left Suárez for Europe in 2006, first for FC Groningen and then for Ajax Amsterdam, Liverpool FC, FC Barcelona and Atlético. In 2015 he reached his career high of 90 million euros at Barça. Originally it was said that Suárez continued to see his sporting future in Europe after his contract with the “Colchoneros” ended.
