Lufthansa strike from February 28th to March 1st

FRANKFURT (Dow Jones) – The next strike is imminent at Deutsche Lufthansa, although it will probably not have such a serious impact on passengers. The Verdi union is calling on the employees of individual companies in the group to go on a warning strike lasting several days from this Wednesday to Friday, March 1st. Employees of Lufthansa Technik, Lufthansa Aviation Training and Lufthansa Technical Training have been called on to take part in a three-day nationwide strike.

The employees of Lufthansa Technik Logistik and Lufthansa Technik Logistik Services will join the strike at different times depending on their location.

During the two-day negotiations, the group only improved its offer in two areas: the core demand set by Verdi of 12.5 percent, but at least 500 euros more per month, is also in the new offer with a term that is more than twice as long the demand has not been reached. The fifth hearing date, which was agreed well in advance, will take place on March 13th and 14th.
