Lufthansa share: Flights to Israel ‘reduced’ after major attacks

After major attacks on Israel from the Gaza Strip, Lufthansa is reducing its flights to the country.

“Against the background of the current security situation in Tel Aviv, Lufthansa Group Airlines is reducing its flight program to/from Tel Aviv this Saturday for operational reasons,” the company said on Saturday at the request of the German Press Agency. The company initially did not provide any further details or affected flights. On the Frankfurt Airport homepage, Lufthansa’s two planned departures to Tel Aviv on Saturday were shown as canceled.

Swiss airline suspends flights to Israel

The Swiss Lufthansa subsidiary Swiss is suspending its flights to Israel from Saturday evening until further notice. After the rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip, she cited security concerns due to the unclear political situation. Two flights in the afternoon, from Zurich to Tel Aviv and back, will still take place after a thorough examination of the situation, as the airline said.
