The American singer-songwriter Lucy Dacus was born in Richmond in the US state of Virginia in 1995 and gained attention for the first time when she published her debut album “No Burden” in 2016. The record met with a lot of positive criticism and paved their later albums like “Historian” 2017 and “Home Video” 2021 the way to success.
The southern Statler became known for her music shaped by emotions, which moves between the genres of the indie rock, folk and alternative. Dacus’s songs are characterized by their striking, warm voice. In her songs she often sings deep and introspective texts. In her music, Lucy Dacus often uses her gift to combine personal with universal topics.
On March 28, 2025, the 29-year-old now brings out her next record. This is entitled “Forever is a Feeling”. In the meantime there are already three singles to hear from: “Calculated”, “Limerence” and “Best Guess”.
With her upcoming album, Lucy Dacus ventures into new terrain. The work deals with the complex feelings of adulthood, the game between closeness and distance and the transience of love. After her celebrated appearance in the “Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon, Dacus starts a concert series in New York in February. Following the more intimate shows, the big “Forever is a Feeling” tour will go from April.

In the course of its big tour, Dacus also comes to Europe. Here she will present her new record in some cities, including Brussels, Paris and Amsterdam.
