Louvre increases ticket prices by 45% for non-EU visitors

The Louvre has decided to increase the price to admire all the extraordinary beauties, including the enigmatic smile of Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, to raise up to 20 million euros per year needed to face “structural problems” and finance the renovation of the art museum most visited in the world.

After the theft, the cost of security increased

The measure desired by the French government is also linked toincreased cost of security after theft in broad daylight of the crown jewels, treasures of inestimable value of which traces have been lost. Last year the most important museum in Paris welcomed 8.7 million people, 69% from abroad.

«I think it’s a bit unfair towards non-Europeans, we come from further away, but we do what we have to do» comments this Australian tourist a little resentfully.
