Louis Vuitton launches portable speaker

Louis Vuitton is expanding its electronics offering.

The French luxury fashion house has launched the ‘LV Nanogram Speaker’. The portable speaker is available in three versions, including a limited camouflage ‘Damoflage’ edition designed by the brand’s menswear creative director, Pharrell WilliamsLouis Vuitton announced last week.

The brand’s typical monogram flowers and four steel keys adorn the speakers, which are available in dark silver, rose gold and shades of green. Elements such as a loop that allows it to be attached to travel bags and decorative trimmings are made of cowhide.

With an audio performance from Harman International Industries, a group of audio accessories manufacturers, the accessory is intended to be lightweight, functional but also fashionable. Thanks to the aluminum housing, the weight is limited to 520 grams, while a volume of 84 decibels can be achieved.

Two built-in microphones are compatible with a smartphone’s voice assistant when connected via Bluetooth. Additional functions can be controlled via the ‘LV Connect’ app. The brand’s audio range already includes in-ear headphones and a larger gyroscopic speaker.

The speakers can be purchased in the brand’s online shop. They are priced at 1950 euros, the ‘Damoflage’ edition at 2250 euros.
