Louis van Gaal in polonaise after PSV victory

PSV’s biggest supporter turned out to be an Ajax player on Wednesday evening. None other than Ajax advisor Louis van Gaal walked the polonaise in Seville after PSV’s great victory in the Champions League.

ED reporter Rik Elfrink was forwarded Van Gaal’s video. It shows how he went all out in the polonaise after the match. The former national coach is completely in his element and is having a great time to the sounds of Guardian Angel by Marco Schuitmaker.

Van Gaal was a guest at the Champions League match Sevilla – PSV. He watched the match from the grandstand together with the PSV board. Van Gaal lives in southern Portugal and can reach Seville in a few hours by car. He himself won the Champions League with Ajax in 1995.

‘Louis is only human’
Many people on X react very positively to Van Gaal’s enthusiasm. ‘He cares about Dutch football’ and ‘Nice man, Louis is just a human being’.

With the 3-2 victory over Sevilla, PSV will certainly finish in second place in the group behind Arsenal. In the new year, PSV will play in the knockout phase against one of the other 15 remaining clubs.

The cash register is also ringing for the people of Eindhoven because of this good result. By reaching the eighth finals, PSV has certainly already earned 50 million euros. And that amount could increase rapidly if PSV progresses further in the tournament.
