Louis van Gaal is perhaps the favorite direct object of the men of VI. He is taunted and mocked there week after week. Yet he managed to captivate more viewers with his performance in Op1 yesterday than Today Inside. This concerns 833 thousand (27 percent market share) versus 782 thousand viewers (21 percent).

‘We are geniuses!’

Normally, Today Inside is always the most-watched talk show of the evening, but when Louis is at the table at the competitor’s table, that is apparently different.

And that while Johan just yesterday patted his chest about his high viewing figures. “It’s going great. If you have more than 700,000 viewers against the Dutch national team, then we are genius,” he said with a wink.

No Televizier price

Johan and his VI colleagues also talked about being excluded from the Televizier election, because Today Inside looks too much like the football talk show with which they took the prize in the past.

“It’s ridiculous, but I haven’t even gotten excited about it for a second because I don’t give a shit. But it’s ridiculous, because we’re a totally different program, totally different subjects, every day. You can call everything a spin-off,” said the football expert.
