Louis Gabriel Nouchi wins the Andam Young Fashion Award

LGN Louis-Gabriel Nouchi was awarded the top prize at the 34th edition of the Andam Prize. Duran Lantink and Ester Manas also received a special award. Avellano was awarded the Pierre Bergé Prize and Ruslan Baginskiy won the Best Fashion Accessories award.

The 2023 Andam Prize awards ceremony was held on June 29 in the gardens of Paris’s Palais Royal, right next to the Ministry of Culture, with the elite of the fashion world. Among those in attendance were model Gigi Hadid, Fédération Française du Prêt-à-Porter President Yann Rivoallan, Diesel designer Glenn Martens and a new wave of young French fashion designers.

When the winners are announced, the enthusiasm is so great that you can hardly understand their names even in the front row. There are no long speeches at the award ceremony, fortunately they are short and sweet.

Two Andam Special Prize Winners

The main prize went to LGN Louis-Gabriel Nouchi, who competed alongside Andreadamo, Duran Lantink, Ester Manas, Gauchere and GmbH. He will receive €300,000 to continue developing his brand with the changing male aesthetic from “American Beauty” to “Single Man”.

“The members of the jury struggled when the special prize of the jury was awarded, which is endowed with 100,000 euros,” explains Riccardo Bellini, CEO of Chloé and chairman of the jury. “In terms of points, Duran Lantink won. But Esther Manas was always just behind. Therefore, we decided to award a second prize of 100,000 euros, funded by the sponsors, to the duo.”

The Andam Pierre Bergé Prize, worth 100,000 euros, went to Arthur Avellano, who beat Ouest Paris and Vaillant with a latex wardrobe. Ruslan Baginskiy was awarded the accessory prize. The designer, who prevailed against Alighieri and Panconesi, also receives 100,000 euros.

In addition to the cash prizes, the young brands will receive a Swarovski crystal trophy designed by botters, the winners of 2022, and will be supported by a comprehensive, interdisciplinary funding program.

The evening ended with a buffet where all guests could exchange ideas before enjoying the champagne at the piano and singing to “Bohemian Rhapsody”.
