Lost backstage pass for the Rolling Stones after a gig

What sounds like a funny groupie fairy tale is Owen Wilson’s reality: The actor says he is a big fan of the Rolling Stones, and after he became friends with the Stones, he was finally given a backstage pass that lasted indefinitely time should be valid – only to have it revoked after a show.

Owen Wilson had a lifetime AAA passport…

Wilson, who can be seen in cinemas from April 7 as Bob Ross, explains in an interview with James Corden opposite Jeff Goldblum on the “Late Late Show” how this could happen: “I got the Rolling Stones viewed in Argentina. And I was friends with some members of the band and my friend was very good friends with Mick Jagger. Then we got these special, laminated, all-access passes that lasted for the rest of my life…” – Actually.

After receiving the passes, Wilson recalls dying to test how “all-access” they really were by thinking to himself at a concert, “I’m going to go over here and see if anyone stops me.” He noted that “nobody [ihn] stopped at any place” he ventured to go. After all, he ended up in exactly this place where he could see Mick Jagger directly on the stage.

However, during the song “Jumpin’ Jack Flash,” Jagger ran down and it turned out that where Wilson was standing was part of the stage. “So I kind of froze and tried to be inconspicuous… And then someone ran over and yelled, ‘Get out! Go away! You have no business here!’”

… for a night

As Wilson goes on to say, he went to bed that night and was like, ‘Oh my God, that was a pretty awesome experience. And then the next morning I get a call from Mick’s security team: ‘You got the laminate?’ ‘Yes, I still have it.’” Then someone came and took the passport away from him.

The Rolling Stones are currently working flat out on their new studio album. In February it was rumored that the band even hired Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr for the album, which is being produced by Andrew Watt.
