The next highlight of the NFL-OffSeason is already accusing its shadow with the mandatory Minicamp in June. The Los Angeles Rams have now also announced that the training sessions will be completed on Maui this year.
Gave on Wednesday Rams-President Kevin Demoff and Hawaiis Governor Josh Green known that the Minicamp of the Californians will be held on Maui from June 16 to 19. The NFL organization immediately starts a partnership with the Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA).
“We are very happy to return to Hawaii and bring the Minicamp to Maui for the first time in the NFL,” said Demoff in a statement. “Los Angeles and Hawaii have a special relationship and we are grateful to the HTA for working in this historical partnership.”
In the recent past, the RAMs made several attempts to establish themselves in the 50th state. In 2019, for example, they competed in the Aloha Stadium in Honolulu against the Dallas Cowboys (in a Preseason game). Four years later, the team from NFC West also supported the residents on site by boosting aids together with other sports organizations after the devastating forest fires.
NFL: Rams want to “celebrate and promote”
With the maintenance of the Minicamps, a contribution to supporting the local football scene in Hawaii will soon be made. “This journey is not only a great opportunity for our players, coaches and their families to spend time together in a special setting, but also for our organization, the youth football programs and the players who call Maui their homeland, celebrate and promote,” emphasized Demoff.
As part of the Minicamps, several community events are on the plan for the Rams players. On June 17th and 18th, the NFL stars will probably also hold their team activities in the War Memorial Stadium in Wailuku, where the Hula-Bowl is held annually.
