Loretta Schrijver was unexpectedly not seen in Ranking the Stars last night and will not be seen in the Paul de Leeuw show next week. “She has some health issues.”
The colon cancer that Loretta Schrijver was diagnosed with in 2021 and from which she was cured, turned out to have returned and spread last summer. She will probably remain on diabetes for the rest of her life chemotherapy and that comes with ups and downs. For example, she had to cancel the recording of the Paul de Leeuw show Ranking the Stars last week.
No Loretta
Richard Groenendijk had vowed never to participate in Ranking the Stars again, but he was there again last night. “Richard is taking Loretta Schrijver’s place, but unfortunately… We know that Loretta has some health problems and unfortunately she couldn’t be there today, so we have a permanent substitute,” Paul explains.
The presenter is happy that Richard is making an appearance. “But, Loretta, if you’re watching, I hope you get well soon, but we’ll probably see you next week.”

Richard called Loretta to encourage her. “I spoke to her this morning and I must say hi to all of you. Isn’t that nice?”
Paul: “But I don’t think she’ll come next week, because we’ll be recording that episode in two hours. Hahahaha. Otherwise it will really be an extra episode of Vinger aan de Pols.”
