Last week it was a huge scoop from Yvonne Coldeweijer: she was the first to report that Bas Muijs was taken hostage and abused by his ex’s partner this spring. He thought he had an appointment with a terminal fan, but eventually found the two. They held the GTST actor and attacked him with a nail gun.

Photos leaked

In retrospect, this makes it clear why Bas had a head wound on one of his at the time Instagram photos appeared, but now photos of his battered face have also been leaked. “The editors of RTL Boulevard have seen photos showing how badly Bas was beaten by the suspect,” said presenter Frank Dane.

What can be seen on it? Crime expert John van den Heuvel explains in the yesterday’s broadcast: “Well, in any case you can see that he was badly beaten and that it was certainly not a few corrective slaps that were handed out. You can see that his eyes are very discolored, so he has had a few serious blows to his eye.”

‘Looks like it’

It is evident that Bas was very seriously abused, according to John. “His eyebrow is completely open. They are nasty photos too.”

Frank Dane: “We’re not showing that either, are we?”

John: “No, no, that doesn’t seem very polite to him either. Anyway, it was just a very intense hostage situation that completely escalated.”

Heart attack

How did Bas escape from that house? “I was able to hear and read a little more today and it comes down to – and I think this is extremely clever of him – that when he was so abused in that house I thought: I am not going to survive this, I have to do something. And then he faked that he was having a heart attack.”

He continues: “The person who inflicted all the violence on him was so shocked that he thought: this is not going well, so they took him to the emergency room of the hospital. He had to write down his name and then he wrote on the piece of paper: ‘Help. Mouse.’ Eventually the nurse understood that something was going on. They then called the police.”

Rape

There are now rumors that it was an act of revenge in connection with rape, but according to the Public Prosecution Service and his lawyer Petra Breukink, this is nonsense: “It is said that rape has been reported, but no report has been made, there is There is no investigation underway and there is no prosecution against Bas Muijs.”

Bas’s face has now recovered, but, John says: “The scar above his eye will remain.”
