One of the most shocking images of the protest against the Iranian regime shows how a demonstrator was shot at close range. It is Ashkan Morovati, a professional boxer who took to the streets for democracy, freedom and equality. After he was arrested, officers beat him “a hundred more times” with their batons, after which they also shot him at close range with a shotgun.
