London trades in what was banned back in 1966

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will travel to Europe for talks with NATO allies, the main issue on the agenda is the situation around Ukraine. The Telegraph writes about it. The article notes that Johnson intends to “combine the efforts of European countries and develop a common sanctions policy against Moscow.”

Evacuate quickly. More and more countries are calling on their citizens to quickly leave the territory of Ukraine by any possible means. More than 30 states issued such a call for their citizens. The Americans are once again exaggerating – the State Department ordered all diplomats who do not occupy critical positions to leave Kiev. American employees have 48 hours to evacuate. The French do not yet call on their citizens to leave Ukraine, but they recommend preparing essential items.

– First of all, these are stocks of food, water and warm clothes. Also, you should make sure that the tank of your car is full, and it is better to have gasoline in reserve.

Against the backdrop of calls to leave Kiev, the American media are releasing more and more articles with the alleged date of the invasion of Ukraine. At first, Politico called February 16 “Day X”. However, later they announced that the invasion was canceled due to “warm weather”. And then articles appeared in various publications with “updated information” – supposedly the invasion was scheduled for February 22. On Fox News Sunday, the presenter asked John Kirby to confirm media reports about Moscow’s plans for Ukraine. A Pentagon spokesman responded floridly: “I cannot confirm the data on the planned Russian invasion of Ukraine. We must be careful with intelligence and sources. But we have evidence that the invasion could begin in the coming days. Current intelligence shows that, despite to the threat of sanctions, Russia can do so at any moment.”

The theme with the alleged “Russian invasion” was picked up at any moment by the British media. And now the bloodthirsty headlines on Sky News – “Minutes as Putin gives the order, and bombs will fly on Ukrainian cities.” And this is a new material of the same edition. Everything is dictated by the Western realities of feminism – 79-year-old pensioner Valentina Konstantinovskaya from Mariupol is learning to shoot to protect the country from the Russian invasion.

“I am ready to shoot if something happens. I will protect my home and my children,” said Valentina Konstantinovskaya.

In London, they are also discussing the loud statement of the Ambassador of Ukraine in Kiev, Vadym Prystaiko. The diplomat on the air of the BBC said that the Ukrainian leadership is considering the option of refusing to join NATO if it helps to avoid war. Now Ukraine is just an alliance partner with enhanced capabilities. However, in the West, Ukraine has been hinted more than once that perhaps NATO is not so eagerly waiting for it. The recent words of the French leader Emmanuel Macron that perhaps Kiev should follow the path of Finland and not join the alliance, but only cooperate. London also emphasized that they see no problem if the Ukrainians change their mind about joining NATO.

“We will support this. It is up to the government of Ukraine to decide. Any diplomatic solution must be such that it does not jeopardize the sovereignty of the Ukrainian government,” said James Hippie, British Deputy Minister of Defense.

However, while the West is frightening Russian aggression, not all politicians believe this strategy of “intimidation and sanctions” is correct. Tobias Ellwood, chairman of the Defense Secretary Selection Committee, said London has no real leverage over Moscow. And he added that there is no coordination on this issue in Western countries. The rhetoric of London was also assessed by the official representative of the Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova. She stressed that what the UK is doing now is classic war propaganda. And it is prohibited by the Covenant on Civil and Political Rights of December 16, 1966. Zakharova added that the aggressive rhetoric of London covers the supply of weapons to Ukraine and the conduct of military exercises near the borders of our country.
