Actress-singer Liza Minnell’s longtime friend claims Minnelli had to use a wheelchair on stage at the Oscars against her will.

Actress-singer Liza Minnelli76, shared the 2022 Best Film Award at the Oscars with a friend, pop star Lady Gagan, 36, with. The award was won by the film CODA.

Minnelli sat in a wheelchair on the stage of the Oscars. His long time friend Michael Feinstein claims that this happened against Minnell ‘s will.

According to Feinstein, Minnelli suffers from back problems and had therefore asked to be allowed to sit on the stage in a pilot chair, a wheelchair she had refused.

– I don’t want people to see me lame there. I want to look good and I don’t want people to worry about me, Feinstein says Minnell said.

The director’s chair, he said, had been Minnell’s condition for the star to agree to the Oscars at all.

“Then he sat in the driver’s chair, but perhaps because of the confusion caused by previous events, the instructor said in a recent briefing that Minnell must be in a wheelchair,” Feinstein continues.

The confusion at the event had been caused by the fact that the actor Will Smith hit his colleague Chris Rockia.

According to Feinstein, Minnelli was “sabotaged” when he was in a wheelchair.

– She was nervous. Can you imagine being suddenly forced in front of millions of people in a way you don’t want to be seen. That’s what happened to him, Feinstein says of Minnell’s feelings.

According to Feinstein, however, Minnelli is doing well.

Former Minnell spokesman Scott Gorenstein according to Lady Gaga had demanded that Minnell be invited to share the prize.

Minnelli himself won an Oscar in 1973 for his role in the film musical Cabaret.
