Liverpool: Setback against Nottingham – Ex-Union Berlin professional Awoniyi hits

Despite the Reds’ superiority

Coach Jürgen Klopp and Liverpool FC have suffered another setback in the Premier League. The Reds surprisingly and unhappily lost 0-1 (0-0) on Saturday at Nottingham Forest, who were bottom of the table. Liverpool were the dominant team in the City Ground stadium for long stretches and got more out of the game. However, the Klopp team rarely had dangerous chances.

Nottingham gave little defensively and finally took the lead in the 55th minute through ex-Unioner Taiwo Awoniyi. The visitors had chances to equalize in the final stages, but went wide of the goal several times or were denied by the strong Nottingham keeper Dean Henderson, who is loaned to Forest from Manchester United.

Liverpool missed the chance to move up to fifth place and after a good week with the respectable win against Manchester City (1-0) and the narrow home win against West Ham United (1-0) they are already in the crisis again. The Reds initially remain in seventh place in the table.
