De Graafschap knocks FC Emmen out of the cup
De Graafschap has qualified as the first team for the second round of the battle for the KNVB Cup. The Doetinchem team defeated FC Emmen 2-0. Both clubs compete in the Kitchen Champion Division.
Unfortunately, the opening goal was scored by Robin Schouten, who shot into his own goal in the 20th minute. In injury time, Simon Colyn set the final score at 2-0.
The five Premier League clubs that qualified for European football – Ajax, AZ, Feyenoord, PSV and FC Twente – were exempt from the first round.
