Mid-term conclusion:
Dortmund leads 1-0 at the break in Bochum and after the intense final phase of the first half, this lead is well deserved. The blue and whites were very toxic and compact over long stretches of the Revierderby and asked BVB some uncomfortable questions. The guests, who made a lot of hectic ball losses and mostly only came to shots from the second row, were therefore forced to slow down after half an hour. When everything was already set for the 0-0 at the break, the Black and Yellows turned it up again and created two big chances, both of which went unused. After Riemann cleared the ball well in front of his own goal, Can then scored from 50 meters.

With a crazy goal, Dortmund now take a 1-0 lead and it’s Emre Can who scores from the halfway line. When Brandt passes Haller, Riemann has to come out of the box, takes the ball with his chest and then clears it powerfully and high into the center. In the middle circle, Can then simply hits it, hits the ball perfectly and sinks it into the Bochum goal from over 50 meters. Craziness!
